Character Concept - Star Wars Cinematic R&D Production

Character design for a cinematics R&D project based in the Star Wars universe!
The way this character would be created and rigged meant that we needed to keep the head clear of potential collisions with shoulders and also avoid connections between the head and body via tubes, but there was still a desire to have unique silhouettes and functionality for the character's head, which would be a focal point in the cinematic.
The character needed to have capability for a gas attack and also some thrusters for flight or jumping abilities. He needed to feel rugged and militaristic, but not kitted out like a true soldier.

You can see some of the other work I contributed to this cinematic here!
