Quick Houdini setup to explore options by randomizing positions, scales, rotations and quantities of cubic structures.
Concept created as part of an R&D Cinematic Production. Art direction wanted a very cubic crystalline structure for this asset with a hint of some vapor. Later on while developing the final asset it was decided that it would be more important to have an internal gas look rather than an external VFX.
I also made a quick Houdini setup to help me find some variations really quickly!
One of the meshes I selected became the root of proxy mesh shared to animation for them to test.
