To achieve the unique shapes in the concept I used VEX and polywires in Houdini. This allowed me to create and control the curves and widths of the form, as well as procedurally generate and coil vines around the trunk. Near the base I created a denser "nest" feel, but this get's hidden in the canopy. The geometry was exported to Clarisse where it was textured, more foliage scattered across the surface and draping down from beneath the bows. Final lighting and rendering out of Clarisse with passes for final paint work, and tuning to integrate into the lvl lighting. The canopy was painted by Rob Go: https://www.rob-go.com/
