The harsh terrain of Arrakis. I wanted to see something new for this world that fit with the exceedingly aggressive storms on the surface (Up to 700km an hour). I think I found some interesting options in 16 and 9. The rock is carved and hollowed out by the continuous sand blasting. A bit too sharp in the sketches, but it will be refined further.

Speculative development only. I wanted to go through the design process myself for this franchise, and see how my vision developed in contrast to the feature film which is currently in post production.
