Preview in Substance Painter
A cinematic quality asset created as part of a long term personal project to rebuild my grandfather's metal shop in cg! This project has several additional goals:
1. Validating a CAD model to production ready asset workflow for games or VFX using Plasticity and Blender Bridge.
2. Fully understand material authoring out of Substance Painter for PBR pipelines using ACES color space.
3. Understanding USD and it's applications in Houdini and other pipelines.
I am starting with some simpler models to validate the pipeline and establish metrics. Also, it's just a neat challenge to take something objectively simple and tell an interesting story through it!
