I wanted this one to feel warm and have rich soft gradients. Almost like you could brush the dust from the peaks with your fingers.

In the southern Hemisphere of Mars, part of Valles Marineris. I think that's where they make the spaghetti sauce on Mars.
Standing on the shoulders of giants. These artworks were created using DEM information gathered by the HIRISE, or High Resolution Imaging Experiment, Mars reconnaissance Orbiter. The information was processed and minimally enhanced in Quadspinner's Gaea, then all maps were exported for assembly, texturing and rendering in Clarisse. Small photoshop enhancements/compositng.
